About the event
Whether you are returning or brand new, the beginning of every school year is always crazy. What supplies do I get? Do I need my instrument the first day? Lockers? When is lunch? I can't answer all of those, but here's what you need to know about orchestra:
INSTRUMENTS
- Please make arrangements to have all instruments rented by Monday, August 15th. Please see the "Local Vendors" page to rent an instrument
- Violins and Violas - Do NOT bring your instruments on the first day of school. Bring them on Monday, August 14th.
- Cellos and Basses - Do NOT bring your instruments to school. You will be assigned an instrument for campus use only
- If you are new and unsure of your instrument, please check your schedules as you should already be assigned in orchestra
SUPPLIES
- Acquire all necessary materials before the first day of school. There is a supply list HERE. There is also a printable version HERE
- Returning students will need to make sure that they have their own rockstops, chinrests, and rosin.
FIRST DAYS (8/9-8/11)
- You don't need to bring your instruments the first three days (8/9-8/11), as the campus will be going over school procedures and expectations.
- I will be passing out instrument rental forms for those of you that are using school instruments. Please try to have them returned no later than Friday, 8/11.
- Friday 8/11 - There will be a dodgeball social right after school followed by a parent meeting at 5 PM. We will be going over details for the year's events as well as important things to know about orchestra this year!
