STEPS TO TAKE IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE STALEY ORCHESTRA!
Mark Orchestra as your FIRST choice on your card selection. If you marked another elective as your #1 choice, email your middle school counselor asap to change!
Schedule a time to try out the instruments! Email Mr. Geller to setup a meeting to try out and gather information on all the strings! Check out our instrument info HERE.
Rent an instrument from one of these vendors. There are many options on where to rent from in the DFW area. Try to have your rental information in by the end of May to have your instrument ready by the next school year!

OTHER FAQ
Do I need any musical experience? You don't need to have ANY musical experience to participate in orchestra! We teach you everything from reading, to setting up the instrument, to performing in a group.
When do classes meet? Orchestra class will meet 4 days of the week with one of those days being an extended "block day" class.
Athletics and orchestra? We have MANY athletes involved in the orchestra. We highly recommend learning an instrument your first year as athletics is not an option until 7th grade.
Are there any socials? The orchestra takes many trips throughout the year to videogame lounges, the University of North Texas, Medieval Times, and more! There is at least one social event a month!
Is there Financial Assistance? Yes. Staley has a limited number of supplies and instruments on hand for qualifying families. Please see the "Financial Aid" section under "resources"
