About the event
Every Spring, the State of Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) requires that all secondary music programs participate in a graded concert and sight reading contest. To get ready for this, we will be having a practice "Pre-UIL" at Frisco High School on Friday, February 3rd, from 5:50 PM to 7:30 PM. Please arrive at Frisco High School's EAST Entrance no later than 5:40. We will need to uncase and warm up quickly in order to keep up with the schedule.
Concert attire for this event will be CONCERT BLACK. Concert Black is:
- Solid Black Top
- Black Pants (Please, no jeans, rips, or holes)
- Black Socks
- Black Shoes
Parents are welcome to attend! This is a good way to get an idea of what the competitive side of orchestra entails as well as an opportunity to find what we need to work on before the actual contest day.
*Please note, the only orchestra members that will be participating in this will be our advanced ensemble and a select few students that have volunteered to be at extra rehearsals.
